Lencore's self-contained Spectra® units contain their own sound generators and are adjusted for both volume and frequency on the individual unit. Spectra® is ideal for space up to 20,000 sq ft. that requires different tuning for areas of mixed use, such as a row of private offices alongside an open plan area. Areas with mixed ceiling composition, such as an open ceiling in reception and drop ceiling over workstations must be tuned differently. Spectra® accomplishes that easily. Spectra® produces exceptionally smooth sound with extremely even distribution. The units hang in the plenum area above the ceiling where they are unseen. Digital sound radiates from the top of the unit to the deck above and reflects back down into the space through the ceiling tiles. Essentially, the plenum becomes a giant non-directional speaker with the ceiling tiles serving as a filter. The result is a smooth, uniform sound with ± 0.5 dß variance. In open ceiling areas, the units can be painted to match other exposed hardware so they are virtually unseen. The contour (frequency) can be adjusted to project harmonious sound and compensate for the lack of acoustical tile filter. Paging and music are easily integrated. Because the sound is non-directional, uniform and high quality, the paging and music capability is outstanding. Voice is clearly heard without being invasive or loud/soft across the space. Spectra® carries a full 10 year warranty (say that again?!). It requires no on-going maintenance and is manufactured with high levels of recycled content within strict environmental guidelines.
